Atlanta based United Parcel Service Inc has made an announcement that they are really thinking about all their future business strategies at the moment as the year is about to change. The company said that they have also planned to hike their rates for the next year that will help them to cope up with their business finance in the future. The company said that the rates will go up 4.5% on all the UPS Air and US origin international services and 4.9% on all the ground services from the year 2013. The company already did hike their prices by 4.9% at the start of the year 2012.

The company said that they would like to improve their rates in the future because they want to keep up with the market competition and therefore they would like to bring in better technologies that can make a difference. The company said that the hike for the rates is based on 6.5% increase in the base rate and rise in international fuel surcharge. Similarly, the rates are increased for the ground service based on the 5.9% average increase in the base rate. UPS claims that this hike in price will not affect their business and they will continue to improve their services as well.
